grow hair under locs

Hi guys!

It's important to remember that a protective style is there to do just that - to protect. Therefore we must ensure we don't neglect our natural hair's needs while we he have our crochet locs in, or any other protective style for that matter. This quick scalp spritz recipe combines 3 ingredients that promote hair growth without causing product build up:

1.) Rosewater:

Rosewater has antibacterial properties and is ideal for killing bacteria on the hair and scalp without being too drying. It is a natural scalp cleanser and prevents scalp fungus from growing. Furthermore, rosewater promotes hair growth as it stimulates the scalp. It also strengthens the hair as it contains vitamin A, C, D, E, and B3.

2.) Rosemary oil:

Scientific studies have shown that rosemary oil has the ability to reverse some symptoms of hair loss and promote hair growth, as it improves blood circulation in the scalp. Many have also reported rosemary oil to help with scalp itching. A little goes a long way with this one as it has quite an overpowering smell! A few drops will suffice.

3.) Extra dark castor oil:

The ever-popular castor oil is raved about for many reasons, with many crediting the oil for helping to revive thinning edges/bald patches. Castor oil is extremely rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids that are important for healthy hair growth. It also has anti-fungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties, and prevents dry and itch scalp.
